High School Youth
Sundays at 12:15 p.m.
We are a bunch of teens who care about God and want to share his love with our friends. We are faithful by attending worship, studying God’s word in a small group or Sunday Bible study, or just hanging out together while being there for one another.
Our high school youth group starts the week off right with a Bible study and learning time on Sundays at 12:15 p.m. But we don’t limit our relationship with God and each other to just Sundays…
Once a month we meet for a fun large-group activity. We’ve had swimming parties in the summer, a haunted house trip in October, attended concerts, and have gone bowling together.
We also travel to district youth gatherings to connect with other teens, learn more about God, and worship together. Every third year we participate in the LCMS National Youth Gathering, where people from all over the United States come together for a five-day event celebrating their faith and life in Jesus Christ. The youth work together to raise money to cover part of the cost of our trips. During the summers we’re not at the National Youth Gathering, you’ll find us somewhere on a mission trip.
Community service is an important part of our outreach to others. We get involved in Serve Our School (doing acts of kindness at our schools), servant events at our church, and helping others in need in our community.
Add in pizza parties, movie nights, and just being there for each other as we learn and grow in God’s love, and you have a good idea of what we’re all about. All high school-aged youth are encouraged to join us to learn more.
